De este segundo 12'' publicado por Macro, me interesa la versión instrumental del tema principal, ya que los que no disfrutamos con la voz engolada del señor Socarras podemos centrarnos en la sección instrumental compuesta y tocada por Patrick Cowley.
La remezcla de Morgan Geist no aporta nada nuevo al tema original, algun efecto por aquí y una desaparición casi total de la pista vocal......Los dj's más arriesgados seguro que lo programan a primera hora de su set.
Oni ayhuns se encarga de destrozar ''memory fails me''.
El encanto analógico del original desaparece convirtiendo el track en un aburrido tema minimal de tercera división.
Parece que los implicados en la operación teman darle un matiz más pistero a los temas, y mira que tiene posibilidades el asunto, sólo imaginarme las remezclas que hubieran salido de las manos de un Prins thomas o un Todd Terje ......
Habrá que esperar a otra ocasión.
Thanks very much for the two Patrick Cowley & Jorge Socarras 12 Inchs. I love the Catholic album, considering it was recorded in 1976, it still sounds as though it was released today. It is so ahead of its time!

You have created a wonderful music blog with some great choices: the Major Swellings 2004 album and the new Black Devil Disco Club albums are such classics..I will keep my eye on your blog and look forward to your great selections!
